Apologies for the lateness of this post. Technically I did have this posted to blip.tv last night but didn't have time to put it here, too. Ah, holidays...and local experimental music shows that keep me out late on work nights!
I've been on-and-off with writing music reviews lately. The only new albums I've wrote reviews on were the new PJ Harvey and St. Vincent. Just to see if I can still write music reviews.
Lately, I'm a bit burned out due to writing film reviews and various essays.
As far as the music of 2011. I really can't think of anything that stands out. I love the new albums by Cut Copy, M83, the Joy Formidable, St. Vincent, PJ Harvey, EMA, Atlas Sound, Washed Out, and Mastodon. I also enjoy the soundtracks to Drive and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Other that, I couldn't really think of anything else. I'm mixed on Bon Iver and Bjork while I couldn't get into James Blake.

I'm just more into older music these days now.
