The 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die is a book I'm mixed on. They had some good choices, there's some I'm just not happy about like fucking Limp Bizkit. The Zutons? The Killers? FACKING BULLSHIT!!!!!
I have the Psychotic Reactions & Carbureator Dung book. Early in my days at Epinions, I tried to be the site's Lester Bangs. I failed at it. Now, I'm just... me.
I have a music book that I recommend. Ranters & Crowd Pleasers by Greil Marcus about punk rock from 1977 to 1992. It's been some years since I've read it. I think it's out of print but it's a very well-written book filled with essays and interviews with artists like Elvis Costello.
Oh, remember those Life Top Ten Lists I used to do back at Epinions.com? You will see where I got that idea. Alas, I no longer do them.

I was laughing so hard when you kept coughing and swearing. Looked like a sick/crazy war vet.
